Bu çalışma, bir yalı olan Moralıoğlu Yalı'sının yakın çevresiyle birlikte geçirdiği dikkat çekici dönüşümü temsil etmekte ve değerlendirmektedir. İstanbul Boğazı'nın Anadolu yakasında yer alan ve kendine özgü tarihi geçmişe sahip yalılardan biri olan yalı'nın geçmişi ve bugünkü durumu, bir metinle desteklenen mimari temsil araçlarıyla bütüncül bir anlatımla ortaya konmuştur. Bu çalışmada, 1926 öncesi ve dönüşüm sonrası olmak üzere iki durum temsil ve mekânsal nitelik açısından karşılaştırılmıştır. Yapı ve yakın çevresinin kaybolan ve yaşayan mimari değerleri ortaya konularak tartışılmış; yapılar ve yakın çevresi mimari ve peyzaj öğeleri ile birlikte yukarıda bahsedilen referanslar, yerinde yapılan rölöve ve ek binanın restorasyon projesi yardımıyla yeniden temsil edilmiştir. Sözlü ve yazılı kaynakları bir araya getirerek yeni bir anlatı oluşturan bu çalışma, Boğaziçi literatürüne katkı sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır.
Abstract
This study represents and evaluates the remarkable transformation of a yalı, namely Moralıoğlu Yalı, with its immediate surroundings. The past and present situation of the yalı, located on the Anatolian side of the Bosphorus and one of the mansions with its unique historical background, has been revealed in a holistic narrative with architectural representation tools supported by a text. In this study, the two situations, before 1926 and after the property was transformed, were compared in terms of representation and spatial quality. They were discussed by revealing the building and its immediate surroundings’ lost and living architectural values; the structures and their nearby surroundings with architectural and landscape elements were re-represented with the help of the abovementioned references, on-site survey, and the restoration project of the additional building. This study, which creates a new narrative by combining oral and written sources, aims to contribute to the literature about the Bosphorus.
