Urban transformation, which changes in scale with mega projects, is an urbanization activity in which the natural environment is transformed into the built environment. In this context, the natural environment, natural resources such as rural areas, rivers, forests and pastures are constantly being opened to development through a destructive-creative process. This article focuses on the ongoing mega projects in Istanbul and the organizations fighting against them.
