Tamirevi, sürdürülebilir koruma uygulamaları dikkate alınarak restore edilmiş geleneksel bir Mardin evidir. 200 yılı aşkın tarihi yapı, KORU projesi kapsamında enerji verimli yöntemlerle dönüştürülmüş ve tarihi Mardin kentinin kültürel yapılarından biri haline gelmiştir. Kültürel Mirası Koruma Derneği (KMKD) & Edinburgh Dünya Mirası (EWH) işbirliği ve Mardin'deki yerel kurumların desteğiyle bugün koruma amaçlı sergi ve sanatçı rezidansı olarak yeniden işlevlendirilen bina, Mardin'in tarihi ve kültürel mirasının korunmasında önemli bir örnek teşkil ediyor. Tamirevi, Türkiye'de iklim ve miras arasındaki ilişkiyi güçlendirmesi açısından önemli bir örnek projedir. Tasarım ve uygulama sürecinde, çevresini etkileyebilen bir mimari koruma modeli olması hedeflenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, küresel koruma ve sürdürülebilirlik yöntemleri yerel koşullar ve kaynaklar üzerinden uyarlanmıştır. Yapı, kendine has özelliklerini ve özgünlüğünü kaybetmeden çağdaş sistemlerle donatılmış ve güncel teknolojilerin desteğiyle yeniden kullanılmıştır.
Tamirevi'nin tasarım ve uygulama sürecini kapsayan bu makale, sahada edinilen deneyimleri paylaşarak benzer projelerin yaygınlaştırılması için hem teşvik edici hem de yol gösterici olmayı amaçlamaktadır.
Abstract
Tamirevi is a traditional Mardin house which is restored by consideration of sustainable conservation practices. The more than 200 years old historical building has been transformed via energy efficient methods within the scope of the KORU project and has become one of the cultural structures of the historical city of Mardin. The building is re-functioned as a conservation exhibition and artist residency today, and it is the result of the cooperation of the Association for the Protection of Cultural Heritage (Kültürel Mirası Koruma Derneği, KMKD) & Edinburgh World Heritage (EWH) and the support of local institutions in Mardin. Tamirevi is an important exemplary project by means of strengthening the relationship between climate and heritage in Turkey. During the design and implementation process, it was aimed to be an architectural conservation model which can influence its surroundings. Accordingly, global conservation and sustainability methods were adapted over the local conditions and resources. The building is equipped with contemporary systems without losing its intrinsic features and authenticity and reused with the support of current technologies.
This article covers the design and implementation process of Tamirevi and it aims to be both encouraging and guiding for the dissemination of similar projects by sharing the experiences gained on the field.
