Çalışmada İstanbul'da süregelen istilacı kentleşme süreçlerinden örnekler verilerek anlatılan durum, hem ekolojik hem kültürel hem de kentin dayanıklılığı açısından kentin sürdürülebilirliğine yönelik tehditler yaratmıştır. Tüm birikimini kentleri metalaştırarak elde eden kapitalizmin tüm çelişkilerini, yarattığı mağduriyetleri ve eşitsizlikleri bu istilacı kentleşme sürecinde İstanbul üzerinden okumak mümkündür.

Invasive Urbanization and Its Environmental Impacts: The Case of Istanbul

Abstract

The situation described in the study by giving examples of the ongoing invasive urbanization processes in Istanbul has created threats to the sustainability of the city, both ecologically, culturally and in terms of the resilience of the city. It is possible to read all the contradictions of capitalism, which gains all its accumulation by commodifying cities, and the victimizations and inequalities it creates, through Istanbul in this process of invasive urbanization.
